At the heart of the MKC lies a responsive 240-horsepower 2.0L EcoBoost® engine, which uses three technologies — the boost of turbocharging, the precision of direct injection and the sophistication of twin independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT). This engine helps MKC achieve a towing capacity of 3,000 lbs. when properly equipped. The result is a standard MKC powertrain that’s as intelligent as it is highly motivated.
Available Intelligent AWD uses sensors to constantly monitor traction. It balances torque between the front and rear wheels to enhance handling and maximize traction, typically before wheelslip can even occur.
The six-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission offers the control of a stick shift with the convenience of an automatic. The wheel-mounted paddle shifters on the 2016 Lincoln MKC allow you to shift gears quickly without taking your hands off the steering wheel. Or, simply relax and let the automatic mode glide efficiently through all six speeds.
Enhanced control for peace of mind. This electronic stability system provides enhanced control in slick conditions such as snow, rain or even on gravel roads. Roll Stability Control™ (RSC®) provides enhanced side-slip control and delivers electronic rollover stability for the vehicle. RSC utilizes gyroscopic sensors to monitor roll rate and vehicle roll motion at least 100 times per second. This helps determine when and how it will utilize the brakes to help keep all four wheels of the vehicle firmly planted.
Signature LED accents frame the high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps, which in turn accentuate the signature split-wing grille. HID headlamps also last longer and use less energy than conventional halogen bulbs.
The 2016 MKC features available pedestal, autofold power mirrors. These mirrors will automatically fold in when the vehicle is locked and unfold once you’re in the vehicle and the door is closed. There is also a switch on the driver’s door that folds the mirrors toward the vehicle to help avoid hitting an object while you’re parking.
The Lincoln MKC combines luxury with contemporary design. The driver’s seat features 10-way power. Lincoln Luxury Soft-Touch Seating Surfaces are standard, and Bridge of Weir® Deepsoft leather-trimmed seats are available. Aluminum trim or available wood trim provides attractive accents. And to keep you and your front-seat passenger comfortable, the front seats are heated, and dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control provides individual climate control.
Connect to your Lincoln MKC anytime, virtually anywhere. Use the MyLincoln Mobile app to connect to your Lincoln MKC remotely. The available embedded modem communicates with the smartphone app and allows you to start, lock, unlock and locate your vehicle from virtually anywhere. You can even program an automatic remote start each day. Simply open the app and use it to set your Lincoln MKC to start 5 to 10 minutes before you have to leave, and it will be warmed up and ready to go. The app and modem can instantly contact Lincoln Support anytime, virtually anywhere, and also locate a dealer wherever you and your vehicle are.
Available driver-activated adaptive cruise control (ACC) operates just like normal cruise control, but with one exception: Its sensors can detect traffic slowing ahead and automatically slow your car to maintain the distance you’ve set. When traffic has cleared, your car resumes the preset speed. Forward collision warning with brake support, included with ACC, can alert you if it senses a potential collision with the car in front of you. A heads-up display, which simulates brake lights, flashes on the windshield. If you don’t react immediately, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you do brake.
Available BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert helps warn you of vehicles you might otherwise miss. BLIS uses radar in the rear quarter panels to identify a vehicle entering your blind spot and alerts you with an indicator light in the sideview mirror. Class-exclusive cross-traffic alert also uses radar to detect vehicles approaching from either side when you’re slowly backing out of a parking spot or your driveway. If it detects a vehicle approaching from up to 15 yards away, it sends an audible warning, a visual display in the sideview mirror and a signal in the message center.
