It is as unique as it is thrilling. The drive platform on the Lincoln Aviator was designed to create excellent handling and balance. This platform offers the propulsion-like feel of rear-wheel drive, while allowing for the confident grip of available all-wheel drive.
The Lincoln Aviator offers exciting powertrain options that combine power and poise for a smooth and thrilling journey. The standard Twin-Turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine, estimated to create 400-horsepower* and 400 lb.-ft. of torque,* sets the pace for all models. The Aviator Grand Touring utilizes a battery-powered electric motor and pairs it with the standard twin-turbocharged engine to produce more than 450 horsepower* and more than 600 lb.-ft. of torque.*
*Projected horsepower ratings achieved with 93-octane fuel.
The suspension in the Lincoln Aviator applies multiple technologies to help make every stretch of road feel freshly paved. The available Air Glide Suspension continuously monitors vehicle position and weight distribution to help create a smoother ride.* The Adaptive Suspension with Road Preview works with an advanced front camera to evaluate and monitor the road ahead. When an upcoming irregularity in the road is detected, a pothole for example, the system will prepare the suspension to help make driving over them as comfortable as possible.
*When compared to traditional coil-based suspensions.
There’s a drive mode to match your mood and road conditions. Lincoln Drive modes, easily selected by simply turning a knob in the center front console, alter the suspension settings, ride heights, steering, shift points and more to help. In addition to the main five modes, Aviator Grand Touring has two additional modes- Pure EV for a quiet all-electric drive and Preserve EV to save the stored energy for use at a later time.
The power found under the hood is equally matched by the power of choice. The Lincoln Aviator offers a number of wheel designs and sizes including several 21- and 22-inch eye-catching wheel options. Not only do they rise above the road, they rise above what many have become accustomed to.
The Aviator Black Label, Aviator Grand Touring and Aviator Reserve models all feature unique front grilles. Each of these grilles capture and embody the experience and design inspiration of the Aviator, further enhancing the Lincoln signature grille.
Shedding a little light on the situation. The Adaptive Pixel LED Headlamps apply a number of ground-breaking technologies to appropriately place light both on and off the road. At highway speeds, Speed Dependent Lighting is designed to shine light further into the distance and at slower speeds, the light array widens helping drivers to detect pedestrians and potential hazards. Adaptive Dynamic Bending Lighting uses camera technology to read road signs and lane markings to pre-illuminate where the road is heading.
A bow being drawn across the strings of a violin, the soft yet recognizable tempo from a marimba and mellow echo of a viola. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra® has recorded soothing yet still attention getting musical alerts that serve as non-critical, soft-warning and hard-warning chimes. Now, when your door is slightly ajar the sound your hear will be equally informative while being far more soothing.
Available rich leathers, carefully selected woods including Santos Rosewood and Espresso Ash Swirl and linear brushed- and engine-turned aluminum appliques offer engaging details that capture the eye as well as the imagination.
